XP – Registering on Non-Internet PC

Hi guys.

I need some help on how Windows registers a copy of Windows XP when I’m installing it on a PC that never connects to the internet.

Here’s some info:
- I have an older PC (from 2000).
- It presently has Windows 98 installed on it.

If I buy a brand new copy of Windows XP to put on this PC…how will it get registered?
Do I need internet access to register it?

See ya soon!
Jenny :p

What happens if I do not register (by phone) my copy of Windows XP?
(Assuming XP is on a PC that does not connect to the internet)

Thanks for reading!

If by register you mean activation then after 30 days you will no longer be able to use Windows XP and will have to reinstall the OS.
