I think i want to switch to xp 64 bit. But i'm not sure if all the right driver support is out there or if it would be better to stay with 32bit for now.

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice 1GHz FSB

GIGABYTE GA-K8NS Ultra-939 Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce3 Ultra

CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB)

ASUS N6600/TD/128 Geforce 6600 128MB DDR AGP Video Card

2 x wd 80gb hard drives (8mb cache)

2 x Liteon dvd drive

i would stay with 32 bit theres not much software for 64 bit out there and 64 bit processors can make some 32 bit programs run slower but that is just my opinion

Hey Run4it, If you end up doing it can you let me know how you go with it, as i have similar h/w and have been thinking about doing it too but still unsure.

You are able to find drivers on the web for those products I would imagine. I really had no difficulty finding drivers for my hardware.

Ok, still haven't decided.... as far as gaming goes is there a noticable performance boost by going to 64? Multitasking?

I found the 64 bit drivers on the gigabyte website but there wasn't one for usb. Is that just because it doesn't matter for usb ports?

gaming is only seriously improved if the game is optimized for 64bit. Some drivers are available and applications like nero 6 are compatible with x64.
