Hi,
I am having some extreme difficulty with a computer I ordered. Long story short, I ordered a computer that became damaged shortly after receiving it. The company agreed to exchange it for me. However, they are no long producing the model I ordered and are sending me the newer model. With this said, my original order had Windows XP per my request. Now, with this new exchange, they are telling me they can NOT put Windows XP and must put Vista on it. I did not want Vista (and still don’t) but the only resolution they offered me was to send the computer with Vista installed and the XP software along with it for me to install with tech supports help. Then, today, when calling to find out where this computer is and why I have not received it yet, I was informed by a different agent that “installing XP” will be impossible (he explained why but I forget already). He went into a speech about Microsoft and the way the computer is built…so on and so forth. So the other guy told me I could and this guy is telling me I can’t. Anyone know why I can’t and why not? Why would it be impossible to remove the current operating system (Vista) to install XP?
