Xp install problem

I tried installing XP today , everything was working fine till a certain point

1. insert cd , press any key to boot from cd - OK
2.i got 3 disk ( c , d , e) I've chosenh d and formatted it , didnt use the quick ntsf one but the slow one
3. after formatting , it was copying files - 100% done
4.then the screen came up "reboot in 15 sec , setup will continue after"
5.pc restarted , however after my pc started again , the "press any key to boot from cd or dvd" came again. i pressed nothing because i thought it would just continue but the screen just stays like that with a _ blinking

I've tried 3 xp's and all have the same

I don't have the problem with a vista install
