My son had a virus and trying to rid his drive of the virus loaded XP over XP. Is there a way that he can delete the second os from a DOS prompt wiyhout formatting the drive??
 
NO youll have to format the drive and start fresh. ONLY WAY TO RID ANY SYSTEM OF A VIRUS if all else fails. when installing over top on anohter you basically replaces files that were missing or corrupt with fresher ones.

YOull benifit fomr a complete wipe out and reinstall
