XP Locks when Idle / Screensaver

I hope someone can help, I'm having a HUGE problem since I installed my new motherboard, cpu, memory, and video card... With my old setup I had no problems, but now whenever I let the computer sit and it goes idle (screensaver comes on or monitor turns off) It wont allow me to come back from idle. I can see the lights on the wireless port functioning if I hit numlock or caps lock but it wont respond, I have to soft reset... I've tried all I can think of, I thought it was software so I uninstalled some, still does it... I'm at my wits end... anyone that can help me, please do!!! :confused:
 
Right click on the desktop go to properties go to the screen saver tab click on power at the bottom and set it all to never...
 
I had it set like that before, but then I'd just come home to a frozen screensaver... I turned the monitor off after 20 minutes just so I wouldn't have to come home and see a screensaver that is just sitting there mocking me, lol
 
set it to blank then for a screensaver but if you screen saver is freezing sounds to me like you have more problems then you are thinking you do.
 
Oh no, I know I'm having more problems than just that, I just can't think of what could be causing it to hang like it is... I'm just out of ideas to what I can think of...
