XP log in help?..Please

Hi My daughter go a computer , Dell optiplex with xp that someone left behind that moved out of where she lives..she knows nothing of computers and lives across country from me..
whe she fires it up she gets an out of sync error...I told her how to boot into safe mode to change resolution but when she tries to log on as Admin....It ask for a password..tried just hitting enter not working....when she tried that it asks for a passwoed hint she tpypes the letters in on the hint but that don't work..whats her best coarse of action..no disks of coarse of any kind:eek:

try restoring it back to factory settings or get a recovery disk the previous owner probly created a password so you cant get away around it otherwise:)
