XP Nightmare - Help-5 days of hell and no let up

My friends comp. died and ive been trying to resurrect it. Trouble is it has no
system discs etc -but thats another story. Ive been trying to get XP loaded
onto the drive with no success. All I get is the following error codes:
0xc0000005, 0xf748e0bf, oxf78da208, oxf78d9f08 followed by
PCI-sys f748e0bf, base f74870100, date 3670855c
It also says to go to advanced setup etc (f8) but as nothing has been
loaded I cant even enter safeboot or control setup options to dismantle the above
problem areas.

the motherboard is an ASUS P5KPL-CM
Bios v0512
Intel Dual CPU E2140 @ 1.6.
SATA WDAV WD 320gig HDD
SATA DvD Drive
I have tried everything i know-which isnt much, to no avail. Can anyone
help me with the problem and if needed point me to dowloads etc which may help.

1st,set vga as ur display card
2nd,reset the boot.ini
i come from China,so my english is not very good,may this help u
 
If it died suddenly, it may mean hardware failure.

Hard drive, memory, power supply.

If you can, start swapping components out and trying different ones.

Can you access the BIOS?

Thanks to everyone who tried to help with my dilema. I ended up absolutely nowhere and when i checked the friends setup i noticed that they had no surge arrester and that many case and power cables had been tampered with. Finally his son admitted to tinkering with the MB. I have now completely replaced everything except the CPU which amazingly survived. Thanks again for your help and ideas
