xp on new hard drive

just copied one hardrive to another and when i try to boot the new one I get a logon screen and so okay with no password like i always do on the old drive and it logs off how can i bypass the password I have never set a password on either hard drive

try pressing cancel and see if that lets you in, if not, try the admin login and password if you set one

If you have a welcome screen, restart your computer and boot into safemode, then log in under Administrator. If you have the logon box, type in Administrator.

There should only be a password on the Administrator account if you set one.

only one name in the box even in same mode it wont let me log on

when you get to the login screen, does it take up the whole page? If so, press ctrl+alt+del twice and it should bring you to the classic login view. There type Administrator in for the username and try it with no password, unless you remember your admin password (it's set when you install windows if that helps)
