XP on OSX

Alright.
I was looking at BootCamp for installing XP on a small partition.

Is this the best method?
Am I risking deleting the OSX partition?

i've never personally used bootcamp but i hear it's ok.i manages the mac bootlaoder normally, but if i were you i'd never touch the boot menu, i'd rather use virtualization
