Xp or Vista for gaming

At the moment i am using windows vista and i do have windows XP which one is the best for a gaming PC

Vista is a bit better at gaming than XP. Halo for instance, is faster in Vista than XP (if you have a good system that is..).
 
Well most people will agree that XP is better for gaming since it uses less resources, however Vista is the only OS (so far) that supports DX10, and a few of the new Microsoft games only work on Vista.

I would recommend Vista Home Premium or Ultimate 64-bit.

Isn't it obvious? XP is currently better because most current games were designed for XP. You'll notice a decrease in FPS if you play the same game on Vista. But this will shift in the future, when games focus on Vista... :P

And do you think that will really happen? Video card manufactures are not focusing on Vista, what makes you think the video game industry will?

Nvidia just came out with new forceware drivers for the 8800 series for XP, but not for Vista. Does that tell you something?

I'm telling you, vista is going the way of ME.

Microsoft has pissed to many people off in the industry, and they are fighting back the only way they can, by not supporting vista.
