XP Pop-ups

I believe we all know the little box that pops-up when ever you insert a cd/flash drive/anything into windows XP. It gives you a list of things to do with the files. And if you want you can check this one box that sais, Do this from now on, or something like that. Well I accidently checked this box and now whenever I put in my cd/flash drive/other into my pc the little box doesnt pop-up anymore, It just does what I told it to when I checked the box. But I liked that pop-up, Is there anyway I can get this little pop-up back? Thanks.

My Computer > Right click whichever drive you want and select properties. Go to the autoplay tab. It should give you a list of different cd's, ie, msuci, data, dvd etc pick one, then select the "prompt me each time..." box. Apply > Okay, then your done

Sorry to revieve an old thread but I tried that and have "promt me each time" selected and hit apply, but whenever I plug my USB drive in the pop-up doesnt pop-up.

Now nothing happenes whenever I plug my drive in or put in a cd. The computer still recognizes that there is a drive or cd being put in and I can transfer files to it once I've clicked "my computer" and navigated to the drive. But nothing happens unless I go to "my computer" whenever I plug my drive in. I have put "prompt me each time" on all my drive letters but still nothing.

Also for some reason, I have a CF reader and the icon used to be a red square for that drive whenever the a CF card was plugged into the CF reader. Whenever there wasnt a CF card in the squar would be clack and white.

But now for some reason the icon is just the standered removable disk icon. I liked how it could show if there was a drive in by changing color and what not. So how could I get that back also.

Thanks.

After testing and hitting repair it sais "Either the device is not functioning or the wizzard cannot determine the problem"
I tried the test on my cd drive, usb drive, and cf reader and it got the same messege. Here is the log from the cd drive.
