XP power schemes resetting to default

I have a corporate laptop which is used to provide a video conferencing facility in our meeting room.
The power schemes are currently set so the laptop monitor turns off after 20 minutes, this results on a blue sceren being displayed by the projector.

I can't manually change the scheme as it requires administrator privileges. So, I have logged in as administrator and changed the settings but these settings do not appear to have taken affect when I log back in with the normal account.
when i log back in with administrator the settings are how i left them.

i'm looking for a way I can setup a power scheme as administrator to take affect for all users.

any suggestions?

You might be able to force this via a group policy.

Or whilst in as admin promote the local user to local admin then you can change the settings
