(please note I edited below)

There is a MS article and fix relating to that error code HERE
But this error was in relation to MS Updates and re-registering the associated DLLs
Once completed after Restart, if this does not fix your issue, please continue below:

If your system was working at one stage you can run a > System Restore on it:
If System Restore does not help, continue below:

Uninstall any Antivirus or personal firewall, or any other live protecting software
Note: Many Antiviruses also have a removal tool that you should run as well, see HERE
Download and Run > CCleaner to remove all temp files

Then do a Repair of your Windows (I'm thinking Vista?), I have provided a guide for you to follow: http://www.windowsreinstall.com/winvista/index.htm
Please note you will need to select your Vista version

If you do not have your Windows Setup CD, you can contact MS directly HERE to obtain one
Or you can locate and contact your OEM Manufacture by going HERE

Once Vista has been fully repaired, proceed to update to > Vista SP2

Finally, make sure that all other Windows Updates have been completed
Then re-install your Antivirus program (note: I prefer > free Avira)

This should solve your issue :)

------------

Edit:

I just noticed your Title states: "xp pro error" :o oops

Well, I may as well answer that too :/ (seeming that's the OS)

Most of what I stated above is still true
Run CCleaner
Try removing Antivirus plus running removal tool
Try uninstalling personal firewall, and any other live protecting softwares

Try System Restore

Then try a Repair of Windows: http://www.windowsreinstall.com/winxppro/installxpcdrepair/indexfullpage.htm
Then update to SP3: http://www.microsoft.com/downloadS/...A8-5E76-401F-BE08-1E1555D4F3D4&displaylang=en

I hope that helps ;)
