XP Pro - forgot admin password

My friend cant login to windows because he forgot his login password. He uses the administrator account for that computer. I tried to go to SAFE Mode, but still a logon screen appears asking for a password. Any ideas to resolve this issue? thanks.
 
You should never use the fail safe admin account for your own personal account. That account is usually only accessible in safe mode unless you made it visible. There are ways to reset the password but you'll have to google it as I don't know if you are trying to hack someones account and is against forum rules.
