XP Pro vs XP Home?

XP PRO vs XP HOME?:

Greetings,

I’m finally making the switch from WIN2000 PRO to the XP platform.

But I’m puzzled about whether to go with the Pro or Home version of XP.

Can someone tell me what XP Pro has that XP Home doesn’t have? I’m a home-based single-user and have always gone the “Pro” route since I don’t want to be caught short re available features. But now I have to decide which special features I just won’t ever use. The $100 diff in price speaks for itself.

Ï'm getting XP too, and Pro is my choice. I don't know why though. O_o

HOWEVER, a $100 price difference sound.. bad. They're the same price here, more or less. At least I think so.
 
XP Pro for sure. the price tag sucks though, make friends with computer store people and get discounts lol...always helps.
 
as i recalled pro comes with internet connection firewall enabled, i'm not too sure if home has it too but i know if it does it came disabled. the only reason i'm using home on the old hp is cuz that is the only way all the drivers work properly as stated in their site. i can use xp pro with a clean install and if i want to switch i just use the recovery dvds lol.
