Hey guys,

Okay so i want to know how good XP pro X64 is....i already know that allot of people might say there's driver issues but there seems to be quite allot of people out there running Xp x64 and they say they have not had any problems, even with newer hardware.

So please, Only comment if you have personally used Xp x64 :)

Im thinking of installing it on a Laptop i might get with a C2D,4GB of ram.

And before you all say...just install windows 7....i dont want to do that!

Thanks

Well, I've been using XP x64 for about 2.5 years now, and have not had any issues with it ever.
Now they have 64-bit drivers for almost, if not, everything so almost everything should work on it
It isn't anything like it was when it first came out, that is for sure.
It is smooth and all, but no DX10 of course. But I like it. Very fast and user friend I think.

I've used XP x64 for 5 years at my job, and I chose to install Vista x64.

It's a well known fact that there's less compatibility issues with Vista x64 than XP x64.

I hated Vista...until I used it for a month.

I used it for a little while as well, the major stuff worked fine such as the video card, benchmarks, most games, etc. The problem really was trying to find drivers and applications for lesser known companies, mainly for my wireless card, bluetooth adapters, serial adapters, etc. I personally would not recommend running XP Pro x64, either run the 32 bit version or get Vista x64.
