XP service pack 2 pro

hey,

i have a copy of pro tools mpowered that id like to install, iv recently installed the service pack2 for windows Proffesional.

the problem is when i try to install pro tools and i just click onto the setup.exe icon it started to extract quick, then an error message pops up and reads:

'Your computer is missing a windows XP update required by pro tools. Please install all available critical updates before installing pro tools.'

whats goin on?

Do you have all of the latest updates on besides SP2? You may have seen the newer version of something like Net framework 2.0 and 3.0 go on without first seeing the earlier 1.1 version installed for example where it may need something like that.

All information found on the more then one version points at simply needing SP2 for XP and the program is even Vista compatible. http://www.zzounds.com/item--MDOMPOWERED
