Hi
I've started to get a problem when Shutting down XP. Before the Desktop disappears, it hangs and comes up with the box saying END EXPLORER. I click END and then it asks me another 7 times before it actually closes down. The Computer switches off and then when I turn it on again I get WINDOWS HAS TURNED OFF ACTIVE DESKTOP even though I shut down properly. Obviously it is not shutting down fully before switching off. Is this a common problem and something I can sort? I do not have the Original Xp Disk as I did not receive one when I bought my Pc Second Hand. To be honest just lately my Pc has been doing all sorts of tricks and it aint Spyware or Trojans etc. I believe some of the Windows Files are corrupted. If I downloaded Service Pack 2 again, could it overwrite any bad files I have and maybe put things right?
