login and navigate to your C drive, go to tools / folder options / view, select "show hidden files" and uncheck "hide protected OS files", click ok to save changes. Now on the root of your C drive you will see the boot.ini file. Open boot.ini with notepad being very careful not to make this the default selection. Now in the boot.ini file look for the line that has "Recovery Console" in it and delete the entire line. Save the changes and reboot. It will now boot directly to XP. Please be very careful editing your boot.ini file as you can cause your system to not boot up if you delete the wrong line.
