Been trying to find an answer on the internet but can't get a straightforward answer. Im intereseted in knowing what tasks are popular with task scheduler in xp. In specific I would like to maintenance tasks.

Sure with the XP task scheduler you can run Disk Degragment of your Hard Drive/s, run a disk cleanup on your Hard Drive/s, aswell as run Antivirus programs at such times as suit you, you can get XP to check for Microsoft Updates and lastly have the computer turn off at a certain time. These are just a few things you can run automatically in task scheduler.

Do you want to delete them automatically? if that is yes. you can set the history to be keep for the days you specify, if you use IE you can set those under the tools/internet options/browser history.
