Hi.
I've noticed with some networks, the basic things like the operating system are kept on the local hard drive. But when you log on, your personal files are actually kept on the server.
I've only seen this done with special software though. i.e. RM software.
Is there any way you can do it using windows XP?
I've gone through some of the security settings already, but I haven't found anything to do with it.
I used to make the assumption that you could not do it without additional networking software, but where a relative of mine works, they somehow did it, and they're using windows 2000.
I'm assuming that if it can be done with 2000 then it can be done with XP.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.
