are those specs you wrote what you get for the $1800?
Surely it can't be?
Thats £1000 for something that seems no where near (except for the graphics probably) as my computer in my sig, which cost £700, the dell doesn't even have a dvd-rw! it seems ridiculously overpriced, unless i'm just getting it all wrong

Why on earth would someone pay that much money for a dell that doesn't even seem any good

Some one is not completely sane might buy one but def not worth the money!I one of the computers in this new series of overpriced computers you can stick up to 8G of Ram you would never need that much!

dude build ur own... and have a athlon x2
I really dont want the hassel of building one I rather just buy one! but il never buy a Dell again I learnt my lesson! I would buy on that has been pre built by someone else maybe one of ebay!

Argh! Sorry, i just couldn't take the fact that its a dell out of my mind.
Um, i think that it's a rip off compared to if you build one of your own... Not only that, but dell have low clockspeeds and crappy MoBo's. And they're not the best for gaming...Even though -i know millions of you will contest this- if you use an Intel processer, you might not actually see the difference. At least i wouldn't. It's like having 2GB,4GB or 16GB (it is possible) of RAM. The load time's will be smaller, but you won't really notice.

yeh, its still a dell, and thats not a good thing. also 650w means jack, whats the ratings......???

Dell are cheap on the real low end systems, after that they get fairly expensive, seriously build your own for half the price.

that is a better idea than buying a dell

when u buy dell u r paying so much4 the name, + companies like dell come with a bunch of advertisemnet for internet and antivirus stuff... if u buy one from ebay that someone made, u aren't gona have the problem

Like dragon said the crap Dell computers are cheap but as soon as they start being anyway good they jack up the price!

I know everybody will contest this...but i tried building a computer on dell, and on Alienware. I think the specs were something like:
-AMD X2 4800+ (Intel P4 for dell)
-nVidia 7800 GTX
-2 GB RAM
-260GB HDD
and more...
and dell was more expensive than Alienware!!!!!!!!!

Price isnt the thing Im looking at when I see a computer its if the parts are any good! I compare one computer to another and then add in the cost factor!

my friend has an xps and he likes it a lot. There not terrible, there actually alright. Faster, and better gaming then gateway etc.
