How do I check the CPU temperature on a Dell Studio XPS 9100 desktop?

On another forum some people said that Dell desktops don't have temperature sensors so there is no temperature info in the BIOS and third party software won't work. Is that true? If not any recommendations for a good program.

Dell don't make all the components inside the computer, they mostly just select the parts and components they want and assemble them. Dell cpu's will be either Intel or Amd and other companies will supply the rest of the components. I don't think intel or amd would go to the trouble of making different cpu's without sensors just for dell and render technologies like thermal protection and thermal throttling useless (amongst others), it wouldn't make sense.
Have you tried looking in your bios?
