Yahoo I.M. down-loadable?

greetings all,

....question;

...is yahoo instant messenger down-loadable in a complete full version download and NOT an installer?...a person i know has dial up due to financial reasons and when they try dial up, the download is a VERY long time as well as exhausting the minutes allotted by their ISP.....

...also, approx how large is the yahoo instant messenger program?

Its not version 9 though. but it is the latest version of 8.0

Download it to a usb flash drive or burn it to a cd and install it on the dial up computer.

10mb and you don't need to sign up for anything. when you open that page look at the bottom left hand side for the latest version.

..it askes for my name, etc..e-mail address, etc..and then at the top it says some crapola about membership.....
