Yahoo is so slow on my computer
Why should it be? Honestly , from the time I click on the page it takes all of 4 seconds to respond at all -and quite regularly and predictably.Say I want to type into the box or paste over what is there or scroll down .And then I have to wait for the new page to come up.
It is really the only site that does that.
Google is fine and so are all the other search portals.
What is so specific to Yahoo? Is it the way their site is built ? Could it be a virus or a cookie of some sort? It is like an inbuilt delay.I must have been putting up with it for a month.
Another thing: unless I fullsize the screen I would have to wait even longer to be able to type in the box at all.The text on the page seems to overlap preventing me from grtting the cursor into the box.......

what connection do you have? it could be possible that your connection is on the slow side and yahoo needs more loading since all the other stuff on there, I used to notice when i have .7mbps but now i have 5mbps and dont really ntoice a differnce, you can use http://search.yahoo.com/ and it SHOULD load faster.

It is 45,000 bps so what is that? If 1 mbps is one million bits/sec then I should be 0.05mbps.Is that right? I am only dialup and maybe you are broadband.
I wonder if us slow dialups are getting less catered for and the sites like Yahoo feel they had put more stuff on their site than before.
I did try http://search.yahoo.com like you suggest .I think it seemed quite fast at first but slowed down after the first search.
