I am having issues with Yahoo Msgr freezing up and being unable to be used without having to restart my computer. It will work for a time and then suddenly "freeze". I go to the End Task option and shut it down, but when I click on my desktop icon again, it will not restart.

My Virus scans have detected nothing. I have defragged my computer and also cleaned out all the Caches/cookies recently.

Please help -- its frustrating to have to do this.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling it? Are you getting any errors in the event viewer about it?
 
Yes, i've attempted to uninstall and re-install. both the Beta version as well as Yahoo Msgr 10. I don't receive any error msgs before it "freezes" up.
 
You may have to contact yahoo on this. Look in the event viewer for any errors. To do this, right click on "my computer" icon in start menu and click on manage, click on the event viewer on the left. Look under the application tab for errors regarding yahoo messenger.
