Yahoo Pool Crashes

I recently upgraded my parents' comp with some of my old hardware. All's running well, temperatures are good, and nobody's having any problems, except me with Yahoo Pool.

When I'm playing a game, without warning and pretty randomly the whole pc will freeze on me, including mouse, and obviously I need to restart. The fact is, I can play DirectX and OpenGL games for hours no problem.

I've reinstalled Java, but have not installed the optional windows update requiring you to 'activate' the applet following that lost court battle of Microsoft's.

Anyone got any ideas? As far as I know this is only affecting Yahoo Pool...

Unfortunately, I would just give up the pool for now on your computer. There are obviously some of those programs that just don't work well with certain other software, and it'd be hard to tell what is causing the problem...
