Hey guys I have a Toshiba A135 S2276 and about to buy some ram, I want to get 2 gigs from the Egg but I am latop retarted, I can't tell what speed the Mainboard can support, and I think I read somewhere that you have to tell the mainboard what speed you are using, can anyone point me in the right direction??? thanks

well when you first start up youll see some xp, and builder screens and on the bottom it will say like "press F8" for start up of system info something other than "safe Mode" and enter that you can navigate through it and find the ram type.... ok now what to look for, look for

1 the pin number AKA 184
2 the speed, AKA PC 3200 or something like that....
3 the base style AKA (DDR) or (DDR2)

thats all you need then go to like newegg
