I have to get rid of my desktop, that's why it's for sale in the sale section. I need a laptop cause I am approaching college and it would be useful. I wouldn't be gaming as much (still occasionally) but I would be using Photoshop, AutoCAD, Inventor, Powerpoint, Flash, etc.

I am dissappointed that this model laptop featured the Go 7800 recently, which would have been most excellent.

Does anybody know if there is laptop insurance? Not a manufacturer's warranty, but actual insurance from a separate company.

yeh, probably a good games laptop. Just thought a desktop would be better. But in this case no lol.

Well its much better than the Xpress 200m i can tell you that.

But i read some reviews, and they say that the x700 outperforms the x1400 in notebooks.

Really? That isn't good, well, I'm sure it's still an excellent laptop. It is probably not designed specifically with gaming in mind anyways. But put together with a Core Duo @ 1.66GHz and 1GB DDR2 RAM @667MHz, it is probably really good at regular apps.

How much does this laptop cost again? Theres one on newegg with very similar specs for $1189.

ANd the x1400 supports HDR, and has AVIVO. It also has certain technology that extends battery life.

Hmm, yes, good, but the Dell is better. The Acer has only a 128MB X1400, one battery, less resolution screen, less service, etc. The Dell has 256MB X1400, faster RAM, better screen, alot more battery life, etc.
