Does anyone here have this controller? .. I'm sure a few do.. if so, could someone take a size comparison pic for me? I'd like to know how big it is compared to a 3.5" bay or a CD... or any other common item that most people have laying around, so I can know just how big this thing is.

Some pics on google make it seem so tiny, but newegg has it listed as 7.9" long :eek:

hmm. It would be close. I believe it is too wide for a 3.5, but maybe two of them would fit in a 5.25". It would probably be easier to just get an actual fan controller.
 
Agreed, but most fan coolers have poor rep in the same price-range.. the ones that don't are either silver, or hideous.

Maybe I'll just use the sticky tape and slap them inside of the case =)
 
I put my controller on the back of the case, so I can reach around and adjust it, but it is out of the way.
 
I have one, its hidden inside my case. But its run through my lcd controller to get more fan speed options since the controller only has 3 speeds. But if you need to get to it just put it on the back, i think thats your best option..
 
I'm ordering 2 when I get some extra loot.. I'm going to see how easy it comes apart.. if nothing else, I'll just stick it under my gfx card since I'll have 7 PCI bays in my new case, and only 4 onboard slots ;)

Just an update.. I got my Fanmate 2's, along with my new case and a whole lot of thumb screws, and some LED case feet yesterday.. this is what I did with the fanmate 2's;

Sorry for the blurry pics, and for clarification.. I've mounted 2x fanmate 2's and a button for my LED case feet to a 5.25" bay cover that came with my new case.

NOTE: It's not crooked anymore ;) .. and the front of my case has a layer of rubber on it stock, so fingerprints show very easily haha.
