Greetings once again.
Would anyone have any knowledge on what is the up to date superior model of these ZALMAN coolers.

Thank you.

I believe the most recent HSF from Zalman is an AM2 version of the CNPS9500.

They're a bit pricey but it's one of the best HSFs on the market right now. When I installed mine my CPU temp dropped around 11°C right away.

If your cpu temp dropped down to 11C on a P4 model cpu you doing great there. When the Scythe Katana/92mm fan was put on laet year the temp only went down to 39C idle on a Socket A cpu by AMD. And AMD cpus run cooler then the Intel models as the rule. Hopefully the Zalman just ordered will see ice form for a change here.

Necrosis, I have a Zalman CNPS9500 that I'm using with an over clocked Pentium D 805. It is running at 3.8 Ghz with an idle temp of 45 C. During max load, my temp reached about 58 C which IMO is very good. If you'd like to see how it looks installed, please see my setup at: http://www.techpowerup.com/gallery/288

Hope this helps you out man! You can't go wrong with Zalman.

I also have a Zalman 9500. Compared to the Zalman 7700al-cu, it dropped temperatures from 60C idle/85C load to 50C idle, 65C load (both temperatures with Arctic Silver 5). Now I don't have to keep watch so my processor doesn't blow up!

if im not mistaken, the 8xx series pentium d's run hot... but not that hot!
are you sure you applied it correctly?

With the Scythe Katana the fan slowed right down to 1800rpm from 2400 heard when gaming as the fan made a rattling sound. Lately the noise heard while gaming suddenly vanished with the 85C max temp reached until a Zalman took care of that fast! Plus the Katana took air away the psu intake fan. The Zalman sits low and blows out towards the side panel. Nice to see some low temps again. :D
