Zorin OS

Reading about Zorin OS I have downloaded it and am trying to install it in a new partition in my HDD. No luck, my DVD RW is a remote unit, BIOS has not recognized this USB as a 1st boot. I also have the download on a flash drive.
1st, is "Zorin" worth the trouble? 2nd, how can I get BIOS to recognize the USB DVD as 1dt boot?

You will need to go into your BIOS and set the DVD as primary boot.

As for if it is worth it... that is a personal choice. It seems to be a Ubuntu style OS with lookalikes for Windows, and MAC. If you are confortable with Linux, then it seems to be a nice OS, but it wont do anything that Ubuntu wont, and ubuntu has better support and doesn't require a DVD drive (needs CD though, or can be direct downloaded via WUBI installer).

Like wolfeking said there should be an option in the bios to set your USB Drive as first bootable,Then you will want to make sure your hard drive is set as second.

If for some reason its not,Try setting first bootable as "Removable Devices" and downloading the Zorin OS and make it bootable to a USB thumb drive using this little app.

Theres a Lite version of Zorin OS that will fit on a CD too :)

@toshiyori,Have you ever tried linux before?

If not i would recommend trying it in a Virtual machine first before making any chnges to your system.
