ATi is like Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Nvidia is like Lexus LS 2008.

And the Evo's are tight. Not a big fan of Lexus. Nissan over everything though.

yeah a lot of the ati cards i have seen are those red plastic covered ones. looks really cheap.

nvidia usually looks much better.

I,m not a fanboy of either one, who ever has the fastest card in the same price range so be it. But AMD/ATI cards do have a, how should I say it ( Tinker Toys look). Nvidia has a ( From the Pits of Hell) looks, might try to kick your ass when you took it out of the box.

Agreed. NVIDIA does look a lot more professional and I thinks it's a better quality. Maybe more expensive but better. As far as EVO and Lexsus, I think it's like comparing apples and oranges, two different classes. EVO is pretty bad ass...

Who cares? As long as it performs well, and does what it's supposed to, plastic, metal, tin, copper, doesn't matter.

And I like the Lancers. And I like Lexus (= Toyota :D)

Last time i checked, ATI's 4870 is right on par with the GTX 280. Which is what, $309 vs $659? :rolleyes:

Whats the point in making such a pointless thread anyway, childish. People come to this forum seeking help, not to come and run up on threads like this. They only complicate things, even more so for the people that are uneducated and want to learn a thing or two in the computer world.

Yep the new Nvidia cards sure do look classy.... because they cost 2 times what they should.I would rather have a ugly card that performs as good or even better than a card that costs over twice as much.Over the years I have bought both Nvidia and Ati cards but without competition we have all learned that Nvidia has proven that they will sandbag on their products.

Suck it up, who really being childish here. Some people said your beloved fanboy ATI cards look like toys and you want to bash the thread and give a heartbreak story of how complicated it is now. Any retard can tell the thread is only about looks. My God, take a deep breath and change underwear.

I have no preference over ATI or Nvidia, i get whatever is best bang for the buck. I have owned nvidia cards, and have been more than pleased with them.

Its just more of these pointless threads keep popping up.

EDIT: i happen to like red btw, i have a red car. :D

but guess what, when its in your computer that green pcb is gonna look like ass, i would know my 8800gt looks terrible. on the other hand the red pcb of that ati looks very nice with good lighting.

Agreed Nvidia LOOK better but i still like the look of the ATi. Plus u probably pay more for the fancy pictures they put on the Nvidia's. Also unless u have a window in ur tower whats the point of a nice looking card?

i actually like the look of the new 4870's but i cant stand the 4850's. as for the new nvidia cards they sure are some of the sexiest bricks out there :p

The nVidia 200 series look really nice. With exception to the 3870 X2, I think the 3000 and 4000 Radeon series look weak compared to what the nVidia board makers' have produced. AMD should really work on that - the Radeon series is finally gaining back some momentum, so they shouldn't let the simple look of the card turn away consumers. The cards look kinda bland, IMO.
