Mine is at 3ghz right now, runs at 28c idle and no higher than 43c full load (stock hsf). I could easily go higher, but its fast enough for me as is. I would say go for it.

Case is a CoolerMaster HAF, so room shouldn't be a problem. Psu will be upgraded at the time of the card.. I'm using a crappy 9500gt right now. Would it be better to just get a 9800gtx?

The specs on your computer say you have 4 ram slots. I'm thinking a two gig stick will not work.

I guess the addition of the tuner in the tv makes a price difference, not sure about the actual picture quality though.
