    Very Quick Minecraft Question

Quick question: In your guys's opinion which piece of hardware is most important for Minecraft? By most important I mean, most key in boosting framerate? I'm guessing a combination of CPU and RAM... RAM? CPU? GPU? HDD? Thankyou! :)

    my new comp :)

I wouldn't crossfire, 1 superior is almost always better than crossfiring two.

building a new computer around 800 bucks

Are you absolutely sure? Hybrid drives generally have 4 gb SSD designated for the OS. I was only referring to the actual size of windows 7 not necessarily the amount of space windows recommends... If I'm wrong, thanks for correcting me

    Need some help with motherboards...

Well, the fact that I'd rather choose which programs get cached based on how intensive they are. It would be faster for me just to show you this thread: http://www.computerforum.com/199725-ssd-caching-explain.html Read the last couple comments posts.

Building a PC for my friend

Oh by the way, I wasn't necessarily saying Gigabyte wasn't a reputable brand, I was just reassuring him that even though it's cheaper for the exact same thing, they're both high quality products, no worries.

    Looking for a good computer

Ok, I found something new about the 2600k i7 that I didn't realize, and is a much MUCH better option for encoding/decoding. If you do it that often then I would recommend it. Secondly, if you want something easy to OC, you'll feel more comfortable with a UEFI/EFI BIOS, it uses a pretty GUI and...

Good Video Card in the $100-175 range

building a new computer around 800 bucks

^Links are broken, you can't directly copy/paste from other posts must copy actual URL's. A very solid and cost-efficient card is the Sapphire Radeon Hd 6870, it costs 155 after rebates on newegg and will destroy WoW. Also, I'm not 100% sure I don't play WoW but also doesnt it rely on a good...

    Computer shuts off while converting

This may sound like a very vague or general statement, but for the most part when things are working fine then after a general amount of time the computer shuts off 9 times out of 10 it's a heat related issue. I say, first run a virus/malware scan, clean out your desktop with compressed air for...

    Looking for a good computer

HDD SSD RAM MoBo CPU Here's the deal with CPU's. If you plan to overclock, get the 2500k, if you don't go with the 2600, not the 2600k, it will work with your budget, but after OC'ing it'll give you an extra 0.1 ghz per core (0.4 ghz for an extra 100 dollars). Cooler GPU PSU Price so...

    First pc any suggestions?

It may work better with the Z68, but saying "it only works well" just isn't true. "Crossfiring" was first introduced around 2005 I believe and Z68 boards have just come out this year... It is possible that crossfiring on a Z68 board hypothetically may make a certain card 20% more powerful...

    New Desktop For Gaming

I think you should go with a 1 tb harddrive with a larger cache, or a different 500 gb with a larger cache but generally a small drive with a large cache may not be very cost-efficient This is a good deal: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533

Building a PC for my friend

If you're going with the 6870, opt for the SAPPHIRE 6870, currently running for 155.0 after rebates. The only difference in brands pretty much is the fans and Sapphire is a reputable brand... Link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102948

    First pc any suggestions?

I think you could actually save around 100$ and get the i5 2500k, you can Oc it to 4.6 pretty easily and with an aftermarket cooler it should be running fine at 4.9-5.0. Just my opinion though, if you feel the need to get that little kick for 100 more be my guest. Also, if you're not getting a...

how do you like this motherboard?

If it meets your requirements and seems like a good purchase to you, be my guest, it's all up to you. Here are some more benchmarks: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/HIS/Radeon_HD_6950/12.html

how do you like this motherboard?

Yes, I doubt there will be more than a 5 fps change at most... Here's a link to some benchmarks: http://www.hwcompare.com/6107/radeon-hd-6870-vs-radeon-hd-6950/ It changes by 7-8 fps at most, but for 80 bucks it seems like a great compromise
