Get only 1 burner, don't get the dvd-rom or the floppy since your mother board won't need the floppy plus spending 22$ on a dvd rom is lame, if you want to spend that money get a second burner.

For the video card, i would go with a 8800gs, much better than the 8600gts plus cheaper after mail in rebate.

Linkzord to the 8800gs i'm talking about

Power supply: anything that is a good brand, even an ultra from tiger direct

Ya i Recommend an Ultra Powersupply. I have an X-finity but, it seems tiger doesnt sell it any more. Anyways they are great and supply plenty more power than I need and run very quite. DEF RECOMMEND!!!

Yeah they are compatible. You are best off getting a AM2+ mobo instead of an AM2. AM2+ is the future and is required for quad core cpu.

Just make sure you get that rebate taken care of ASAP because thats what people think, is that they're getting a great deal then either wait too long to turn the rebate or forget about it.

Aspear, just to clarify you, any current p35/p31 or similar chipset mobo will support a video card regardless of the version of pci-express even if it's x16 or 2.0.

Well no point in spending all that much money aspear on an amd mobo, just change your processor and mobo to intel, which is better and you'll get more POWAH from it
