My framerate have reach less than 60 FPS on Final Fantasy 14: Realm Reborn, iRacing.com, and Skyrim. So I decided it is time to built whole machine. Keep in mind, I am only using one videocard, one hard drive, one DVD and using on board sounds, so I don't need ATX motherboard and mid tower case unless if it is cheaper for gaming.

My current use.

Honestly, I think that all you need is to upgrade your video card. Your current pricessor is more than enough power.

The GTX 970 or R9 290X are good options for video cards.

For processor, if you really want to upgrade, I would wait till Broadwell in Q2.

If you want a modular power supply, I would look at something like the Corsair CX600M

Ninja beat me to it.

You won't see that much of an upgrade if you kept that GPU, and 60FPS is still really good, but you'll see an increase with a new GPU.

Your list also has an overpriced PSU, and case. I recommend the Corsair CX series (CX750M) and the Fractal Design R5.

If you choose to upgrade your CPU, the i5-4690K is good for just gaming and some small editing. The i7 you chose would be good for doing more editing and streaming applications.

That is a really nice case. I used it for my dads build. I did buy it for 90 though.

I'd +1 for GPU.

A new rig would be faster all around but not enough of an improvement to be worth the investment.

If you really want a seat-of-the-pants improvement get an SSD.

If I were you'd I'd get a new GPU and an SSD with a fresh install of your OS. Will really breathe some life back in to the machine.

Also kinda funny since the 2500K and the 560 TI were the go to recommendation for gaming when I first joined up here.

Yup as said above. The i5 2500K is more than powerful enough (I should know, I own one and do video editing with it!) - maybe get a nice cooler and overclock it if you haven't already and also get an SSD. The Samsung 840 or 850 EVO drives are cheap and fast!

Get a new GPU, perhaps a GTX 970 if you can afford it and also get a nicer case - one that's good for cable management. NZXT, Corsair and Fractal Design have good options.

Looks like he bought his 2500K setup just before Ivy Bridge came out (just like me! :D) but I advised he waited for Ivy. ;) http://www.computerforum.com/209934-upgrade-cpu-memory-motherboard.html

Thanks for your opinions. I have not heard about Broadwell CPU, and google it. It seem worth to wait until i5 Broadwell CPU release. Again I am not familiar with SSD, so I looked up more info about SSD. I definitely will use SSD on new built for faster loading time on boot up and gaming loading. I will wait and post a list of my gaming built with i5 Broadwell CPU.
