free movie editor?

Im looking for a free movie editor to put together a collection of small vids into one large video...and then maybe add some music:P does anyone know of a realiable one?
 
Windows Movie Maker is pretty tried and true although a lot of people will try to convince you otherwise. Spend a little time with it and it will do what it is supposed to do and handle the tasks you just explained
 
AHHH perfect.... i had it all along and here i was looking through debugmode something or other trying to place a single movie hah, thanks

ahhh shucks... it says i cant combine videos under 30 seconds... can i get around this somehow?
 
hmmm thats strange... i have combined a whole lot of clips, each under 30 seconds... im not really sure..
 
well it gives me another option to drag the vids to the bottom on a slide that shows all the vids in full length... do you know if I can chop these vids up and only show the scenes that i want? or must i show the full vids one after another?
 
Windows Movie maker is very good, i use it and i think it is great, but a good one if you are willing to buy, sony vegas it good.
 
Okay there might be a problem in the video settings about how long a video has to be.
I cannot find out.
