violence without vulgar language?

Well i just got banned from another cod4 server for testing the admin again... he didn't approve of my mild swearing... I will admit he gave me a fair warning for the first time but I suggested his rule was pointless.. after all, every person in his server, underage or not, was killing marines or insurgents in a violent matter with bloodshed and decapitated bodies.. so i asked him, how is killing someone in that manner allowed in his online server but talking offensively forbiden? I can understand if kids are playing a... pokemon game and the admin doesn't allow such language because he doesn't want young kids to be exposed to such garbage but not in a game like cod4 or cs-s where killing is the main objective.. .i mean really, how can someone preach about bad language but allow violence? does this make sense? he banned me after I asked him the question twice without giving me a responce....go figure


I don't swear too much... maybe a bit when i get killed from a b.s shot from a mile away but it doesn't offend anyone directly.. and yet admins still drill me with the pointless rules......


anyone catch my drift? what do you think about it?
 
Heres the big difference though...

Your in HIS server so its HIS rules....

If you want to swear then just go to a server that allows it, simple as that.
 
Ya that's pretty stupid. Whether theres underage kids in there or adults doesn't really matter considering the nature of the game.

If an 11 year old is playing the game which im sure theres a lot of doesn't really matter if he hears swearing since hes playing such a violent game.
 
^^ Gotcha What do you have? I use to be a big Traxxas guy but, hpi put out a good series of Savage's.

Anyway OP, the admin's mom paid for him to admin there, so he can do whatever he wants (before bedtime).

Gee I dunno, maybe because never insinuated in any way that he doesn't like the violence and was only suggesting that the violence was worse than foul language, so foul language shouldn't be disallowed?

No, really, special ed reading classes.

Both of you guys need to cool it before these threads your arguing on turn into a prime example of what the OP is talking about...

Its not your thread so leave your bickering and petty arguing at the door ;)
 
Alrighty, lets try and get this show back on track.

I completely agree. Some admins dont just get it.

For example, I play on this one server where the admins dont allow you to run, shoot from the hip, throw grenades, etc. Why? Because its 'realistic'. Just like how respawning is realistic, and how your gun never jams is realistic.

I infact daily dedicate time to this server, JUST to piss off the admins. I run as much as I can, shoot from the hip (you would think, wouldnt that take more skill?), etc. I leave just before they issue the ban/kick. Ive been doing it for about a month and its great stress reliever.

Its just gaming now adays has gone too far. What happened to the good old times of killing and anything was fair game, no special "rule sets" or anything?
