I have vista basic, and when i turn it on, it goes to the log on screen and it says Vista Basic, is there anyway i make it say vista ultimate or something, is there a program?

...why do you want it to say Vista Ultimate? I remember reading somewhere that there was a hidden splash screen for Vista or something that you could activate. Might do a search for it.

Back on Vista's old prices, Vista Basic was the cheapest and most economical way to go. But now Premium is at $100, Premium is the better way to go.
