Not looking good for nVidia! I'm actually glad that ATI have come back...

holy shit. haha, when i upgrade my cpu (whenever that may be) i'm definately going to get a 4870. have you tried overclocking it yet?
 
oh ha i was wondering if you got a new comp too. o wonder what it's oc ability will be, like, do you know what kind of memory it will be using?

If this is true and I hope it is ,Nvidia has sandbagged their way back into 2nd spot by being lax in the development of their GPU's.Good for us the consumers as this promotes better products.We can only hope that AMD gets their act together also for the Cpu market.
 
erm not to well burst you bubble (i love that saying hehe bubbles...)

a lot of people and websites have said that those benchmarks are fake
i cant find any other benchmarks for the 4870 only that website seems to always come up on every search
 
I really hope the 4870 is as good as speculated, but I will beleive it when I see it. Things are always hyped up before they come out and the consumer is left dissapointed. Looks promising though! :)
 
a lot of people are calling it fake (i hope theyre wrong). but it does seem strange coming from such an obscure source as a turkish website. the 4870 was designed to be a mid range card like the 3870 so it seems unlikely. though ive heard rumors that the 4870 is supposed to be the 1st card with a 1ghz core clock, and with gddr5 its possible. i'm not quite buying it but i hope its true. it's all speculation until the actual release.

the thing thats suspicious about all of the benchmarks is that they are all exactly identical. people are copying them from the one turkish website. my question is why havent more tests been done with other benchmarking tools? i would love to believe this but the more i read into it the harder it is to believe. maybe something will come up in a couple days, but i'm going to be my skeptical paranoid self and wait for more benchmarks
