No don't worry. Most HP computers nowadays can just slot in the Video card, install the driver and restart. Then you'll be good to go.
Side note, HP usually provides a 350W power supply. It's barely anything but can run a 8500GT. Anything above that would require a new PSU.
just get a 8600gt like i did. Just uninstall the old drivers and install the new ones![]()
An 8600GT or GTS could run on the HP PSU without issue.

Nothing changed or new the 8800GT has always used more.
