P4 probs

Yes, I thought that's what imsati asked for? It took me a few minutes to find the link and I didn't see your post until I posted.
As far as not adjusting the voltage and FSB it could just need a bios flash, if you can find one, to recognize the processor since its a newer model.
I think you're right, it's probably a lack of BIOS support even though the boards hardware supports the faster CPU.

Guys thanks for all your help.I just got done chatting with a HP tech.He said this:"The Maximum Processor Upgrade supported by the motherboard of your PC is 2.2 GHz.The FSB speed is hardcored and synchronized with the speed of your processor. HP does not recommend you to change the FSB speed using BIOS settings as it may affect the performance of your PC." I thought my mobo would support a 2.4 processor. So i guess now im stuck!!

pfft he was telling you what he has to, the 2.4ghz chip WOULD work but hp would rather it doesnt.

I kinda figured that.I could of swore i seen somewhere my mobo would upgrade to a 2.4ghz.Thats why i got a 2.4.He never would answer me about how to change the FBS.Thats when he said that about not doing it.The computer is running fine with the 2.4 still installed. No probs yet,but i was hoping i could get the full 2.4 out of it though!:)

Just look around in the bios for a FSB settings, but the only other problem is if the voltage would be right.
