I have been told that i need to update the drivers for my ethernet cable hole... but i dont know what drivers or where to get them from.! can anyone help??

Corey, you need to update your drivers only if your NIC doesn't show up in the device manager or the "Network Connections" page. If it doesn't show up, then you would go to the website for the manufacturer of your ethernet adapter (NIC), search for your model, and download the correct driver for your OS.

That is disgusting.

If it's built in the mother board drivers should work unless its a PCI LAN card.

Not always, it depends on the OS really. Vista should have drivers for most NIC's, however if you have XP or earlier then you may need drivers - depending on how old the motherboard/NIC is.

Very very true. Corey can you tell us the model of your mother board / computer is.

a nic is a Network Interface Card. Usually in the PCI form factor, although I am sure there are some ISA and PCIe form factors.
