Color profiles

GUISE, i have an issue with a monitor. i don't know how to put this, but it does not have colors. check out the pic.


sorry for the bad quality.
i think it's missing a RED, cause the green and the blue is there. i thought this was an issue with color, so i checked out the graphic properties only to see the monitor does not have color profiles.
I checked the VGA cable and i noticed a pin missing... can this cause the lack of color ?

try another cable? or is it attached to the monitor itself?
the pin could cause the color loss easily.

it looks like an old crt. if it is why don't just throw it out?
new 19" tft cost near to nothing now.
 
Just incase you've forgoten I'll state the obvious

Have you checked the properties for your graphics card as well as the properties on the monitor itself (as in the buttons on the monitor physically)?

lol, i have to agree, the cable is attached to the monitor, thats the problem.
It ain't mine, for a friend.
I don't think his budget would allow an LCD for now :P

Yes i did, there's nothing to do with colors on the front panel. only brightness,contrast etc etc
I think that monitors days are numbered.
