So this is what i go so far that i gotta buy :
Mobo ($100):
http://satacomputer.com/product.php?productid=4488&cat=53&page=1
CPU ($72):
http://satacomputer.com/product.php?productid=4277&cat=204&page=1
PSU/ ($53):
http://satacomputer.com/product.php?productid=5048&cat=138&page=1
GPU ($150):
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0665000FS10095590&logon=&langid=EN

Rings up to $375, then add in GST -> $393.75.
Dunno if there are any other taxes.
I'm getting donated a 160 gb Sata drive and 2gb of DDR2 800 mhz.

I'll be running XP Pro SP3.
And for case i'll be temporarily using a very old one (made in 2000, when i was a 7 year old...)

Things i do on my pc:
-Listen to music
-General internet browing,
-IM which is always on.
-Photo, audio and video editing.
-Gaming of course (starcraft 2 when it's released (woot just a few more months... 4 to be exact..), and other MMO's , i don't currently game because my current system can barely handle 2d game liek maplestory.
Anyways suggestions, blah blah , etc?
Also i wonder when that intel price drop will affect Canada...

Hehe your missing your case, which will add on about 50 - 100$, O and you forgot your HDD.

EDIT: didnt read that you got a case

$400 lol.
But that should increase soon.
For now i got to save my money and buy clothes instead.
So i figured might be good enough upgrade.
Though one concern is the 8800GT being bottlenecked, however would some OCing fix it?

CPU: E2180 @$77.

By the way, any reason you're buying stuff from satacomputer.com?
There are other websites have more options...

kind of a slow cpu if your getting that gpu. just saying, i would recommend a higher cpu if possible

Don't got a credit card , so for thoes sites paying is slightly more difficult, so i'd rather just buy local, and sata happens to be the closest shop around. And unfortunately that's the best i could put together for what i have, i might get a 2180 instead, but i plan to OCing either chip either way.
If they change they drop the price on the e7200, i might save up and get one of those instead.

get the e2200 if possible(i think thats the pentium dual) i know those poor pentiums oc like theres no tommarow, i mean maximum pc pulled an 80% oc on it at like 1.35 volts

They're called dual core i believe.
I'll see if i can get an extra $15 for the E2200.
It has a better multiplier i believe so should be easier when it comes to OCing.

you might want to get one of these motherboard instead to free up more money for a better cpu.
ASUS® P5GC-MX S775 945GC - 58.00
http://satacomputer.com/product.php?productid=4482&cat=53&page=1
ASUS® P5N-MX S775 NF7050 - 65.88
http://satacomputer.com/product.php?productid=8826&cat=53&page=1

you will be giving up extra ram slots and expansion slots. also with first one, you'll be giving up a lot in the way of a processor upgrade down the road(e7200 is third best behind e7300 and x6800). but they both support the processors you're looking at e2xxx, e4xxx, e7200, so it might be worth it.

I'm still waiting to see for the price drop for the e7200.
Anyways some updates what i have purchased:
EVGA 8800GT KO 512mb DDR3.
OCZ GameXStream 600W (tomorrow)
Antec 900 Gamer Case. (tomorrow)

I might stick with my motherboard and wait about a week or two to get the CPU, which dependsh ow impatient i am, if i am impatient .. e2180, if i'm not i'll get the e7200.

These days, which motherboard can't? G31, G33, P31, P35, P43... <- All below $100.

if you have a bank account then go to canada computers they have online banking transactions and they have good selection and cheapish prices :D

Well i'm looking specifically for a board from asus that can overclock well, and supports 8 channel audio
