Hey everyone thanks for taking a look at this. So here's my deal. I have been around computers forever troubleshooting em and all that jazz, but the past year or two Ive been pretty much out of the loop on things and I want to buy a rocket. Ive taken a look at the Alienware Area 51 7500, the Dell XPS series, and and kinda wondering whats good whats not, and am I just going to be throwing away money on a prebuilt system?? I have money to spend, so budget really isnt an issue:D, But then again I dont need the craziest thing on the market. Just trying to get back into the gaming. I know you probably get these questions all the time, but Any suggestions are appreciated! thanks!! ++Josh :)

Like just about every1 else on this site im going to say build one, there are threads and stuff to let you know how if you dont know how. Its one of the only ways that you can get all you want for cheaper than you can get somthing off a retailer. The alienwares are good computers my friend has one it works very well, but for prolly less you could put together a system that has all you want and nothing you don't. Alot of people on here build there own systems and coul tell you the best parts for the best money.

The bottom line is are you willing to put a lot of effort in to correctly build your own system? It's a lot easier to buy pre-built computers.

Well... IF I had to absoluely, posietivly buy a pre-built computer, I would go with alienware. Most dell products are eitehr hard to upgrade, or non-upgradeable.

BUT if you build your own computer, you KNOW what is going into it, and you know how the performence will be. I mean come on, its really not that hard, sheesh im 13 years old and built 4 computers with ease, and going onto my 5th one.

Thanks everybody for your replies that really helps a lot. Seems like building it myself is the way to go. I will surely be checking out some of the rigs other users have posted to get some ideas. Thanks again!! ++Josh:D:D

I wanna build a computer that looks just like an alienware so that all my friends think my millionaire great grandma died and gave all her money to me to spend on a computer

What ever, same bad support. But at the end DELL does influence ALIENWARE thats why I will never buy one again.
