Laptop screen gets darker

Hi, I have a huge problem. When I load the batteries, my laptop screen get darker and there is nothing I can do to lighten it up. I dont know if there is a specific place in properties to change this.

Please help. I´m getting crazy here. Cant even use my laptop when this happens.

On the keyboard you should be able to press FN + "another key to make it brighter"

Also you can change the settings in control panel.
