I'm looking to get a laptop that will be good for gaming, it doesn't need to be crazy, I just want it to be able to handle games like unreal tournament 3. So what should I look for? Brand, CPU, RAM, HD, GPU, etc...???

I'd get a Core 2 Duo 2GHz+, 3-4GB RAM, 250GB HD 5400RPM+, 8600M GT/3650 or better - which can all be found for under $1000.

2ghz is a little low for games like cod, I would recommend a 2.2+ghz c2d, atleast 2gb ram, a 7200rpm hard drive or a large 5400rpm hard drive, and atleast an nvidia 8600m gt.

It is, but usually with mid-ranged gaming laptops the GPU is more of a bottleneck, if you can get a 2.2GHz C2D or better though then that would help out a bit.

I don't recommend you get a gaming laptop at all. You should get a desktop if you want to use a computer for gaming. It's a lot cheaper and they work much better especially for online play. But, if you insist on getting a gaming laptop you should check out some of the pre-built models from Puget Gaming Computers. If you want to build it yourself you can always just look at the specs of their top computers and buy the parts from a place like newegg.

Yeah, if your looking for a small form factor, look into customizing a Micro ATX build.

Only reason I got a Gaming Laptop was so I don't have to bring my Desktop to far away LAN's.
